Rising Brit rockers, and recent Band of the Day, Hunted By Elephants launch themselves into 2021 armed with their stunning new album, Carry On, out Friday 15th January. We exclusively spoke to the band and asked them for a track by track breakdown of the cuts on the album:
“Wiseman” – The Wiseman embodies knowledge within all of us. Characterising an awakening. Humankind will stagnate if we don’t change our point of view, not only individually but also collectively. Everyone has the potential to be wise and help humanity progress.
“Believe in Something” – We all believe in something. Instead of questioning other’s beliefs, we should ask ourselves if we truly have confidence in our own beliefs. Without this, eventually we can be left “dead inside”.
“Take Me Away” – A passionate love between two people where emotions run high. Regardless of the effort and desire of both sides, they’re unable to make it work.

“Ghost Song” – The story of a soul who lived on earth many centuries ago who, after death, became a ghost stuck in purgatory between worlds. Forever wondering, lost without the ability to contemplate achieving a higher degree of spirituality.
“The Weapon” – The Weapon is the one with a focussed frame of mind. Confident and experienced, with this mindset they can’t be fooled or played by anyone.
“Carry On” – A heartbreak. Love comes easy and goes fast – leaving us vulnerable. In the end, all you can do is stand up and carry on.
“Electric” – The foundation of our society – greed and lust for power? In our world it is evident that this is the case, where other values should prevail. This is what our society promotes from the moment we’re born.

“Keep on Giving Me Loving” – A relationship of electric excitement. This is about someone who knows what they’re looking for and won’t hang around if they don’t get the love they desire.
“Let Me Be” – “Let Me Be” is about the individual who has been through a lot of difficulties in their life and now knows what they’re aiming for. Sometimes it’s better to be alone than to stick around with the negativity of other people.
“Towards The Light” – Life’s journey. What is left in the end? Is it just our memories as our soul heads towards the light? Our life is an adventure and we can only be honest with ourselves to truly appreciate it.
