Just a quick entry today to point you in the direction of an impressive band from Austria, and one we’d not heard of before.
Formed in 2002, this groove metal beast released their first album (Here Comes The Pain) in 2003 and began playing around their home country.
Painic followed in 2005 and then God Particle in 2012. With this last release, the band nailed their own sound, christening it “paincore”. This is the album that put them on the map. Well, that and winning 2016’s Wacken Metal Battle in Austria and appearing at the festival to represent their country.
During 2017, you can expect to see them at Metaldays Slovenia, Kaltenbach Open Air, Metal on the Hill festival and more.
