Album News: Killer Dwarfs, Deströyer 666, Kanserus Stait, Crom

Welcome to the weekend, and our first dollop of album news…

Killer Dwarfs

Canadian Metal favorites Killer Dwarfs have signed to EMP Label Group, who are set to release the band’s long awaited live set Live, No Guff, in stores April 13th. 2018 will also see EMP reissues of the band’s recent catalog, including the independently released Start@One, the band’s previously unreleased studio album from 1993, and Wireless, the solo acoustic release from vocalist Russ Dwarf. EMP will also release a 2019 new studio album from Killer Dwarfs, and a new studio album from Russ Dwarf.

Recorded live in November 2016 in various exotic Northern locales including Ottawa, Vancouver, Toronto, and Whitehorse Yukon, Canada, Live, No Guff is a collection of the Dwarfs at their vertically challenged finest, powering through blistering performances of three decades of classic tracks including “Stand Tall”, “Keep The Spirit Alive”, “Dirty Weapons”, “Heavy Mental Breakdown”, and more.

Deströyer 666

Deströyer 666 will release a crushing new EP on February 23rd, 2018. Call of the Wild contains three brand new songs and a fresh take on their classic and live-favourite, “Trialed by Fire”.

The metal wolf-pack is now streaming the title-track and the EP is available for pre-order.

Kanserus Stait

American heavy/thrash metal band Kanserus Stait have released their debut EP We Are Kanserus Stait. The EP was recorded at MHQ Studios and mixed/mastered by Shaun Day.

Kanserus Stait was formed in 2011 in Arcadia, California by Syanide Rodell (guitars), Orion Pain (guitars/vocal), Malus de Mastemas (drums) and Warren Scarekrow (bass).

Crom

The release date of the Crom album When Northmen Die on limited double vinyl edition is February 16th, 2018. The pre-order phase will start on February 2nd, 2018 via Steel Records’ webshop. The album will release in a limited edition of 300 black copies with 3 bonus tracks and insert on double vinyl.

With When Northmen Die Walter “Crom” Grosse releases the third album of his former side project of Dark Fortress.
