Remember when Soul Asylum were riding high with the superb Grave Dancer’s Union (which I may just feature as an Oldie but Goldie… hmm)? I was fortunate enough at the time to get an interview with then-drummer Grant Young at Leeds Town & Country Club (which I gather no longer exists). The date I have on record is March 20th 1994.
I can still remember the gig. Great stuff, even though Dave Pirner got so wasted that he forgot the words to encore song “Rhinestone Cowboy” and collapsed giggling on stage…
