Video Roundup: SpiritWorld / Devin Townsend / Rave The Reqviem / SystemHouse33 / Nothing More / Pale Waves

Good grief. A huge number of quality releases rattling their way through our mailbox at the moment. Here is the smallest sample from them…

SpiritWorld

SpiritWorld today reveal another new track, “Relic Of Damnation”, taken from their upcoming 2nd studio album, DeathWestern, set for release via Century Media Records on 25th November.

The single, which is available to stream now, comes accompanied by the final part of a video trilogy directed by Todd Hailstone. Hailstone crafted the story’s two previous videos, for both the album’s title track “DeathWestern” and “The Bringer Of Light” (from 2021’s Pagan Rhythms, the first part of the story). He now completes his apocalyptic vision of a deathwestern world with a compelling finale, fitting the seasonal mood for Halloween!

Devin Townsend

Devin Townsend is set to release his forthcoming new album Lightwork on the 4th November 2022, following months of hard work finishing the album, as well as an extensive European touring schedule that included two nights at London’s Royal Albert Hall.

Today he is pleased to launch the epic new video for the track “Lightworker”, the third in a trilogy of clips reflecting the journey of his new album. Watch the video, directed by iCode, below.

Rave The Reqviem

Rave The Reqviem from Sweden just launched a music video for the new single “God, Demon, Machine”.

“God, Demon, Machine” is an industrial pop metal banger, fit for any dancefloor. Despite its energetic and lively character, it’s a dark song about battling mental disease and the destructive lifestyle that follows. How it brings out the worst in you, forcing you to commit selfish, self-obsessed acts of desperation. A grand shitshow for all to see.

SystemHouse33

Indian metal band SystemHouse33 have released the official music video for “Salvation”, which is the title track of their fourth full-length studio album released earlier in 2022.

The music video showcases frontman Samron Jude in a storyline where he comes face-to-face with a tough choice to deal with a past trauma that can change the course of his future.

When we wrote “Salvation”, it was a time of great uncertainty and hopelessness, we wanted to convey the message in a video where life is about “choices” you make dependant on the situations you’re faced with and the consequences of those actions.

In their latest music video for “Best Times”, Nothing More stress the power of living in the moment. Directed by award-winning filmmaker Robyn August (“Party With Me,” Snoop Dogg, Pitbull, Set It Off), the video displays the band’s unique mix of rock balladry and the full-on rock that the band is known for.
