Demasia: Brazilian metalcore band drops new single, “Thank U”

Demasia is a modern metal outift formed in São Paulo, Brazil in 2021 with the intent of having an envolving but still heavy metalcore-adjacent sound. The band is Vitor (Kaza) and Pedro Zeferino on guitars, Aya on bass, Chris (Crow) on vocals, Rafael Salerno on keys and Laurent on drums.

Some months removed from the release of their last EP, Sanity, and accompanied by another single (“Destined”) Demasia returns with yet another release, notably “Thank U”, featuring Brazilian vocalist Bill Sandre. With heavy and intense vocals, Demasia brings up more traditional metalcore elements and show they are good at what they do.

Chris, the band’s vocalist comments on the writing process for the lyrics:

It came amidst the losses I had this year, both family and friends, and I felt guilty, because I was no longer in a good phase of my life, internal conflicts, and other things that were destroying me and everyone thought that only words would supply, losing important people or curing my anxiety… but what if all of this was based on my decisions?

What if all this happened because sometimes we don’t have the strength to keep trying to move forward?

So I wrote the song, a message to myself, that I shouldn’t get caught up in other things and that I have to try to move forward with or without help from those I care about.

“Thank U” is available on most streaming services.
