Rabidfest is in its fifth year and had some amazing local and UK acts playing their festival this year, which included headliners Blaze Bayley on Saturday and Bound in Fear on the Sunday. This was an extremely well run event courtesy of the Rabidfest team and if you are ever in the Oxford area in November, then this is definitely a festival to keep an eye on. The team at Rabidfest have big plans for next year after it has been growing steadily year on year and will definitely be one that I will attend yearly in the future.
On the second day of Rabidfest, we got to witness vocalist Mark quit the day job as part of the Rabidfest team for thirty minutes and perform hardcore wearing a three piece suit. You cannot get more hardcore than that, ladies and gentlemen. Despite this being only their third gig, they certainly won new fans after playing their menacing set, with Mark using every inch of the stage available to him. With new music on the way, Maelstrom are looking to take things further and on this showing, I can see why. Catch Mark at the front row of any gig with a cup of tea.
