Roger Waters and David Gilmour (Pink Floyd) – Arsenal

Despite using Liverpool’s chant “You’ll never walk alone” in their song “Fearless”, Pink Floyd are not Reds’ supporters. In fact, two of the four musicians from the legendary group – Roger Waters and David Gilmour have confirmed on multiple occasions that they are Arsenal fans. This leads us to another reference from the band’s discography – the song ‘The Gunners’ Dream’, and although Waters is singing about WWII and not football, Arsenal’s nickname gets sneakily added to the song’s name.

Robert Plant – Wolverhampton Wanderers

Praised as one of the greatest lead singers in the Classic Rock genre, Robert Plant is a Wolves fan. Led Zeppelin’s vocalist has supported Wolverhampton Wanderers since he was a little boy, and his status at the club become certified, once Plant was named as a vice-president of Wolves in 2009. It is believed that the wolf head on the cover of his solo album “Now and Zen” is representing his support for the team.

Paul McCartney – Everton (and Liverpool)

For everyone familiar with English football, supporting both Merseyside clubs seems a little strange, as they are vicious rivals. However, Paul McCartney from the legendary Beatles has love for both sides. He has previously stated in an interview that since his father was born in Everton, his family are all Evertonians. McCartney said that Liverpool is a great club as well, but if the two are to face each other, he will stick to his family’s beliefs and support the Toffees.

Thom Yorke and Ed O’Brien (Radiohead) – Manchester United

Founded in 1985 in Oxfordshire, Radiohead has become one of the most successful alternative rock bands ever seen. Consisting of 5 musicians, the group’s frontman Thom Yorke as well as the guitarist Ed O’Brien are active supporters of Manchester United. As stated in irishnews.com O’Brien is a fan of the club and its ex-star David Beckham. The guitarist graduated in Economics at the Manchester University and it’s believed that’s where his love for United was born.

Eric Clapton – West Bromwich Albion

A lead singer for Cream, The Yardbirds, Derek and the Dominos, and more, Eric Clapton is perhaps the most recognizable guitarist ever. The musician has been lifelong support of West Bromwich Albion, and there have been numerous pictures of him enjoying a game at The Hawthorns. His commitment to the West Brom can even be seen on the cover photo of Clapton’s album Backless. The cover shows a guitar leaning on a couch with The Baggies’ scarf across.
