Our regular run-down of as many of the upcoming Bloodstock bands as we can get to talk to us! Death Collector play the Sophie Lancaster stage on the Friday…
Simple things first – where are you guys from?
We are UK based but our Guitarist is from Ireland so UK/IRE.
How long have you been playing together as a band?
Since lockdown, it was a fun project to pass the time but eventually evolved into a band.
Its from the Joe Pesci film Death Collector and we had this idea of a being collecting souls/debts.
We don’t quantize drums, over-edit vocals and use Kempers with specific profiling etc. We use tube amps and play straight from the cab – how it should be. We are raw and authentic, and what you hear on record is what you get live.
We are one of the only OSDM bands on the bill so those fans will likely come see us based on that.
If you like what we do, consider joining us on Patreon for as little as £1 per month!
We all have as members of other bands but not as this band until now.
It was few months ago we got an email asking if we could do it. We were gunning for a slot after our debut album that did well within the UK underground and gained some acclaim globally. We are grateful to nab that slot.
Most of the debut album (Death’s Toll) but the songs that cover all aspects of our sound.
Green Lung and Nervosa.
New record/dynamic change within the band we can’t share yet.
Wildest thing I (Kieran) have seen was at Bloodstock 2012 during Behemoth a man climbed naked on someone guys shoulders and then shat all down the guys back and head mid set…never recovered from that.
Whiskey/Guinness/vodka is the drinks of choice.
