I attended Dundee’s Hordes X 2023 festival in September to see the mighty Dog Tired, Iron Altar, Catalysis and and of course Hellripper. I was also optimistic about discovering new bands as there was plenty on the bill on this all dayer that I was unaware of.
What took me by complete surprise was Belfast’s own Haint and I ended up watching this trio play hit after hit of Mastadon, Gojira, Jinjer and Neurosis-style metal of the highest order. From the opening song “Ares”, I was immediately hooked and I simply had to speak to guitarist/vocalist Ian about having a chat for Moshville Times.
I am so glad I had this opportunity to speak to them, even if it was just hours after playing Siege of Limerick. They were more than happy to chat about new music, their debut EP Terminally Evolved and future gigs. Watch out for Haint… I did warn you!!!
