Little Dead Boy bill themselves as the “one and only bad 2 the bone cartoonical” playing dark alternative rock. So, very much in the business for the fun of it then. At least I hope so, otherwise they’re a bit mental.
The band are from Duisberg in Germany and I don’t have a whole lot of information about them. Their web page is in German, but from what I can glean they’re not just a band that plays tunes – they also work on the performance side of things and use music as a way of helping disabled kids to learn.
They are a six-piece listing three of the band as vocalists/backing vocalists. I do note that on at least one of their videos the bassist puts aside his four strings for a bow and flexible saw! Interesting…
With a zombie / death theme and a definitely macabre sense of humour, they come across as a group working towards something a little bigger than just a few songs. From what I’ve heard they’re not quite my taste in music, but they’re definitely within the big sphere that we call “rock” so I do recommend you give them a listen. Plus any group who work with kids gets bonus points with me.
