Intriguing Brit metallers Apollo Stands unveil their much-anticipated new album, Interstellar, this Friday. We spoke to the highly praised riff beasts and we asked for an exclusive track by track of the record. The guys duly obliged:
“VOID”
Void is our opening to the record and its epic journey through our solar system starting with the Sun and ending in Interstellar Space where we breathe a sigh of relief from the intensity that is our voyage to the unknown parts of space just before being pulled back down to reality.
“INSOLARUS”
We are back to full consciousness now in ‘Insolarus’ with our main character now aboard our spaceship Hopelessly adrift and with no signs of rescue and placed in a never-ending battle with death, All our friends have perished leaving us alone to die forever with no hope of escape.
“SYNTHETIC”
Bringing things closer to home now with some more familiar and relatable situations, ‘Synthetic’ is a song about repression, corruption and the desperation for a world that needs change if it hopes not to fall into a dystopia and the nightmare, we all foresee that will one day consume our way of life and have the average man replaced by those who won’t put up a fight…. For now.

Sex, Drugs and Rock’n’Roll, the party has to end at some point and this tune is about those difficult times. We join a loser and his struggle with the downward spiral that is the dreaded comedown and how looking for your next fix may lead you down a very dark path and not one you would normally expect.

“PLEASE WAIT”
As the title suggests, we touch upon the delicate subject that has consumed our lives for the last 2 years, Covid-19. It’s an argument between the two dominant opinions we hear today. You’re either sick and tired and want your lives back or scared and willing to bear the isolation and torment to save the lives of our vulnerable.
“HIVE”
A trip to the astral plane now finds us following a character who has been confronted by something he has never seen before and while in conversation with this being is told a dark truth about his existence. He must live out the lives of every human being and creature that has ever been or ever will be and once he has done so he will learn the true meaning of life.
“THE ARBITER”
We close our journey with this high energy, fast paced belter of a song that brings us back to basics, not just in its thrashy and somewhat classic metal bare bones sound but with our story being about a choice, to kill or not to kill? If you can take one life of pure evil to save a million more, is it justified?“
