Indian death metal crew Moral Putrefaction are not happy that we’re all “Divided”

Ahead of their self-titled debut release on 24 May, Indian death metal squad Moral Putrefaction has unveiled the music video for their latest single, “Divided”. The quartet from Chennai has been on a relentless journey, from performing at Wacken Open Air in 2022 as the winner of Wacken Metal Battle India to recently supporting death metal icons Suffocation in Bangalore.

“The song talks about the various ways in which our country’s people are segregated and the oppression they endure to even survive,” shares the band about “Divided”. The accompanying music video aptly mirrors the song’s thematic exploration, capturing the strife and divisions entrenched in India’s social fabric, spanning caste, religion, race, and more. The music video is directed by Roy Dipankar (Royville Productions) who is widely known for his award-winning Extreme Nation, a film about the subcontinent’s extreme underground music and socio-political conditions.

You can pre-order the album right now on Bandcamp (we did!)
