Available on April 21st is the remastered single “Angst” by singer songwriter, Pryti. The track is taken from her debut album Tales of the Melancholic.
Angst is about the anxiety life can bring sometimes its hard to know if decisions you are making are right. The video shows a guy wondering on his own in London we have all been there wondering and pondering about life. – Pryti
Pryti is a hard rock/grunge singer songwriter from Birmingham UK. Her influences range from Sarah Mclachlan to Deftones. Pryti’s debut album Tales of a Melancholic received critical acclaim in the UK and USA. It was produced by Justin Hill (Sikth, Heart of a Coward, Bury Tomorrow). She wrote, sang, played the guitars and bass and released it on her label Welcome To Pariahville.
“Angst” starts with a feeling of panic, the creeping guitar, baselines and heavy drums brings on flourishing fear to the throat. Erupting into a cloud that’s pierced by Prtyi’s vocals, a strong track backed with dark booming drums. A great live track. Which is lucky if you’re in London as Pryti makes her London debut soon.
You can catch her playing her first live show in London at Camden’s Black Heart on June 14th supported by Awooga. Oh, one more thing, the word Angst, is an old German word meaning “a feeling of dread, anxiety, or anguish”. Which many can empathise with. Check out the video below.
