Uprising ’23 completes lineup

With one week until Uprising’s sixth instalment on Saturday 29th April, the final bands have been announced.

Headlined by gothic-doom pioneers Paradise Lost, plus Industrial-core icons Combichrist and post-hardcore heavyweights Palm Reader amongst huge the names performing at Leicestershire’s best indoor heavy metal festival. Uprising is set for record attendance and one hell of a weekend.

With two stages announced, Uprising will be adding a third performance space with five bands announced to perform across the day:

Firstly, the critically acclaimed quintet Recall The Remains will headline the third performance area, the band have been making a name for themselves since their emergence onto the scene in 2012 with performances at Bloodstock Festival, Mammothfest and Manor Fest as well as support slots alongside HED PE, Viscera, Mastiff and more. Get ready for scissor kicks!

Also joining the lineup is London based electronic music group Pretty Addicted, with influences from Marilyn Manson to The Prodigy, the band are described as a dark rave at an evil funfair. This will be a warm up for the band’s ‘Summer Goths Tour’ that will be hitting all corners of the United Kingdom as well as heading over to Europe for a select few dates.

Stoner / Doom juggernauts Master Charger will be bringing the riffs to Uprising. Having toured the UK extensively and have attracted attention from fans as they have performed alongside the likes of Crowbar, Conan, Raging Speedhorn to name a few, the band will be bringing a unique blend of ballsy, bluesy, groove fuelled, doom-laden and at times jammed out rock n’ roll Sludge. This has been dubbed by fans as “Satanic Blues Rumble”.

Muddibrooke return to Uprising, the Alt-Rock / Grunge three piece have had recognition from Planet Rock, Kerrang! and BBC Radio as well as printed press such as Powerplay Magazine and ERB. The Derby trio have also been seen supporting the likes of Nick Oliveri (Queens Of The Stone Age, Kyuss), The Virginmarys and Reef. An exciting band that are not to be missed!

Finally Feral State, furious Hardcore Punks from the city of Leicester. Armed with hatred and disappointment towards the state of the world, Feral State will be bringing their take on D-Beat dosed thrash. For fans of The Exploited, Discharge and Doom.

Also announced are the finalists of the Leicester Metal To The Masses, the bands that will be competing for a slot at Bloodstock Festival are Tech Death Metallers Voidwalker, melodic metallers Running With Knives, alt metallers Loatch and completing the line up is nu metallers Inflictions.
