After the shocking violence of 2020’s Adoration Of Decaying Innocence EP, Onchocerciasis Esophagogastroduodenoscopy are back with their first full length album, The Rotted Plinth Of Sachiel.
Across a blighted landscape of nine fearsome tracks, the international duo continue to push the envelope of musical extremity ever further, to the breaking point and beyond, smashing limits and boundaries to dust beneath an onslaught of inhuman blast beats.
Together Australia based vocalist Jesse Agiomamitis and Quebecois multi-instrumentalist Caleb Simard drag brutal death metal and gore grind, kicking and screaming, into ever more vicious and vividly coloured deviant dioramas. Feeding their burgeoning imaginations on the visionary violence of controversial Japanese mecha anime series Neon Genesis Evangelion and its pantheon of angelic invaders, Simard and Agiomamitis twist the accepted forms of these already savage musical blueprints into the most forceful and bewildering sonic sculptures. Heavy beyond comprehension and racing at velocities that transform exhilaration into terror and madness, torturous constructs like “The Rose Of Jericho” and “Facial Gutting” will open up new vistas of blood and torment to even the most hardened and experienced explorers of the extreme.
