Former Misfits guitarist Doyle to star in Death Ward 13

Death Ward 13, a re-energised version of the cult-classic film Don’t Look In The Basement is to be graced by the Arnold Schwarzenegger of music; Doyle Wolfgang Von Frankenstein, formerly of legandary punk outsiders The Misfits.

Doyle will be portraying a ruthless killer called The Duke – a psychopath and the most twisted and terrifying character in the movie, he is also in talks with the producer of the film on the possibility of contributing to the soundtrack.

Inspired partly by S.F. Brownrigg’s 1973 film Don’t Look In The Basement and partly by Edgar Allen Poe’s 1845 short story “The System of Doctor Tarr and Professor Fether”, Death Ward 13 will be a thrilling grindhouse-inspired spectacle with a shocking collection of criminally insane patients: botched lobotomies, necrophilia, sexual deviance, and violent psychopaths and we cannot think of anyone better than Doyle to be involved.

Over to the man himself:

I’m looking forward to starting my movie career with a starring role in “Death Ward 13”. It’s time to release the beast on the big screen. Let the killing begin!

Bruce Miyaki of Insane Management has previously said that with Doyle’s physical appearance and natural knack for theatricality, film has always been on their radar, this is the project that has sparked his interest though and what with his creativity at a high point following the success of his solo album Abominator  a few years back and As We Die, Doyle’s most recent work hitting the shelves in early May, we can look forward to some brilliant work.

As We Die is due out on May the 5th via Doyle’s own Monsterman Records
