Yep you read that right, the Red Hot Chilli Peppers sticksman joined the Kawaii metal leaders Babymetal in their support slot at the O2 in London on the 18th of December after “Gimme Chocolate”.
Replacing Hideki Aoyama for an undercover drum solo in corpse paint and white gowns he went on to perform Judas Priest classics “Painkiller” and “Breaking The Law” on the final show of their support slot.
At the end of this, as if Su Metal wasn’t having a good enough time, Chad brought out a birthday cake for her 19th birthday on the 20th of December.
Babymetal are currently riding the crest of Metal Resistance (review here), another critically acclaimed release and enjoying support sets on the shoulders of giants Red Hot Chilli Peppers and soon Metallica and Guns N Roses.
