Opeth
Swedish experimental heavy-rock pioneers Opeth have released the eighth instalment, “Studio Report – Episode 8,” of their in-depth, behind the scenes series on the making of their 12th studio album, Sorceress(review coming very soon!). In this new trailer, keyboardist Joakim Svalberg talks about the recordings for Sorceress and his love for vintage instruments. The highly-anticipated record is out on September 30th via the band’s imprint label Moderbolaget Records with Nuclear Blast Entertainment. You can check out the video below:
Demon Hunter
US metallers Demon Hunter have announced their eighth album, Outlive, which is scheduled for release in spring 2017 via Solid State Records. Vocalist Ryan Clark, commented the following:
The last 3 years have been an absolute whirlwind. We’ve welcomed 5 (!) children into the Demon Hunter family, endured heartbreaking trials, and experienced joy beyond comprehension. Outlive is a culmination of these peaks and valleys. It is a journey through adversity, survival, and overcoming the odds.

Virvum
A few days ahead of release, Swiss based tech-death maestros Virvum have partnered with Metal-Injection for a full early stream of their debut album, Illuminance. Fans of Fallujah, Decrepit Birth, and The Faceless will highly appreciate this release which can be listened to below:
Helmet
Helmet, a band that has influenced and launched a thousand other bands, are scheduled to release their brand new studio album Dead To The World on October 28th via earMUSIC. The long anticipated new album – the first in six years – comes with heavy guitar riffs, blasting drums and the distinctive voice of front man Page Hamilton. The album is energy at its purest form. Every track adds its unique flavour to mix of hard rock, alternative, metal and punk, showing the world again how versatile a rock album can be. As well as this, Helmet will be heading out on a 36 city tour of the US this fall in support of the new album. The band will be joined by special guest Local H. The tour kicks off on November 3rd with further dates for a European tour to be announced soon.
