By some bizarre string of incidents, frontman Pete “Qualcast Koffee Perkulator Mutilator” Lee ended up on the Simon Mayo show on Radio 2. For those unaware, this is the “gentle” station that your parents used to listen to to escape from the banal shite that dribbled from the radio when it was tuned to chart-friendly suicide-inducing Radio 1.
Lawnmower Deth are now classic rock. Deal with it.
Somehow Pete managed to get through a short interview without once swearing which, for him, is some kind of record. They played three songs (well, bits of three – all covers) and Pete managed to slip in the announcement that the band were confirmed for another appearance at Download next year alongside that other comedy act, Iron Maiden.
Don’t worry, their set will probably clash with someone else you can go and watch instead.
