Continuing our run of letting you know a little more about as many of the bands on at Bloodstock 2025 as we possibly can before you get a chance to see them, we have Vnder a Crvmbling Moon. This bunch play on the Sophie Lancaster Stage on the Saturday.
Simple things first – where are you guys from?
We’re pretty spread out. Three of us live in Devon and two of us are based in the Midlands.
How long have you been playing together as a band?
We’ve been a live band for just over two years now and with this line up for just over one year.
Where does the name of the band come from?
Well I (Scott), started this as a one man band-type thing, so it was sort of a nod towards the band I was in previously and some artwork we had. That band was clearly coming to an end but I was still writing music of a similar style so it seemed relevant at the time. It’s a bit of a mouthful in truth but there you go.
Describe your music. What makes you unique?
I wouldn’t say we’re unique. We’re certainly not doing anything new but if I had to describe it in terms of genre, we’d probably fit into the “post-metal” area of heavy music. The music is essentially a vehicle, or a channel for our negativity. A safe place to get out those negative emotions that can sometimes be hard to deal with. It’s cathartic for us.
What’s your live show like? Why are people going to watch you instead of another band?
I’d say intense, energetic and a release. The music is like a journey and we’ve noticed people joining us on that journey, for one reason or another, which is really cool. If people get something from it, that’s great.

Have you played Bloodstock before? If so, when?
Nah, this is the bands first time. Some of us have played before in other bands but this is a new experience for us.
How/when did you find out that you’d be playing the SOPHIE stage?
Think it was around 6 or 7 months ago.
What sort of setlist can we expect?
Well, we are currently gigging in support of our second album II: Aging and Formless so our set is focused on songs from that album.
Stage times haven’t been announced yet, so which other band do you most hope you’re not clashing with so you can see them play?
We’re not too worried about clashes. Truth be told, I’m not 100% sure who else is playing on the same day as us. Clashing with Nailbomb would be a shame as I’d personally want to watch them.
What are you working on at the moment?
We have some visuals to go along with the set that we’re working on with an artist currently, which is exciting, and we’ve just announced a small run of shows for later in the year with some bands on the same label as us, as well as playing Abyssal Festival in Southampton in September.
What’s the wildest thing you’ve seen or done at a live show?
We certainly haven’t done anything wild ourselves. Download booked the Vengaboys. I didn’t see it actually happen but seeing that on a poster was pretty wild I guess.
What drink do you throw back to get yourself fired up before going on stage?
Drinks don’t get us fired us up. We’re just about the music.
