Simple things first – where are you guys from?
Between Manchester and Leeds!
How long have you been playing together as a band?
We’re about 18 months into Waterlines, since changing from Sertraline!
Where does the name of the band come from?
It’s a loose anagram of “We are Sertraline”.
Describe your music. What makes you unique?
Loads! We love heavy so I’d say we’re metalcore first, but we love adding in EDM and bass music elements to add to the whole vibe.
What’s your live show like? Why are people going to watch you instead of another band?
40 minutes of raw energy! We love to bounce, crowdsurf and pit relentlessly, we want a waterlines show to be a whole experience that leaves everyone sweating.
Have you been to Bloodstock before? What did you think?
Most have, but our vocalist Ben has never been so he’s up for a surprise! Bloodstock is one of our favourite festivals, it never disappoints!

When/how did you find out you’d been selected to play at Bloodstock?
We found out a few months ago now, Simon Hall emailed us explaining that he was enjoying the new sound and offered us a longer set on the Saturday night… we didn’t find out we were headlining the stage until it was posted on Facebook 🤣
What sort of setlist can we expect?
High energy. There’s nothing else for it, we want to make a scene at bloodstock and we’ll be bringing our biggest, most vicious guns.
Which other band do you most hope you’re not clashing with so you can see them play?
Knocked Loose and Meshuggah!
What are you working on at the moment?
We’ve just taken on new management in Marianne from Down for Life Music and are currently working on an EP.
What’s the wildest thing you’ve seen or done at a live show?
Go look at our Insta. Getting the crowd bouncing left to right recently at Summerslammer at rebellion Manchester was a real moment.
What drink do you throw back to get yourself fired up before going on stage?
We’ll have had more than one pint…
