As ever, we’re going to try and cover every single Jäger, New Blood and SOPHIE stage band before Bloodstock kicks off on August 9th. Your chance to check them out and start planning which bands to get there early for!
Trust us when we tell you that this is bound to result in some frustrating clashes because, as ever, there are some great bands on these three stages.

Simple things first – where are you guys from?
I checked under the drummer’s foot. It says “Made in China” and “Mattel copyright”.
How long have you been playing together as a band?
Not long, only two wildebeest migrations with this line up.
Where does the name of the band come from?
Japan.
Describe your music. What makes you unique?
Progstonal Grunk. Isn’t Unique a girls name?
What’s your live show like? Why are people going to watch you instead of another band?
Never asked it, probably flowers. The bar is next to the stage, right? People get thirsty.
Have you been to Bloodstock before? What did you think?
No, we haven’t been before.
Did you enter M2TM thinking you could win it?
We thought we would lose. We are the best losers.
Which region did you win, or did you come through other channels?
That’s between me and my girlfriend’s regions and channels.
What sort of setlist can we expect?
One that’s been written on a man’s arm by another man who’s having it dictated to him by another man.
Which other bands do you most hope you’re not squished up next to so you can see them play?
Judas Priest!
What are you working on at the moment?
My abs. Biceps are Tuesdays. Oh, and a video for our song “Crocophile”.
What’s the wildest thing you’ve seen or done at a live show?
Jägerbombs every three songs during a 45 min set. Vomiting off the side of the stage and playing through. Getting glassed. Being told to shut up by a man in a dressing gown from across the road from the venue. A naked fan – see our video for “Patrick” where you get to see his bum.
