You know those annoying kids who are about 1/4 of your age and yet are way better at things than you are? Well here’s another bunch of them, obviously influenced by similarly irritating (in-house favourites) Tortured Demon, who they have actually supported live. The video at the bottom shows them blowing the crowd away at that gig!
Simple things first – where are you guys from?
We flourish from the shores of the British South-Coast. Specifically, the seaside town of Bournemouth in Dorset.
How did you meet?
The three of us- the guitarist, Nick, as well as the drummer, Oli, and singer, Tadhg, all attended the same secondary school. We were involved in our school’s adaptation of west-end, Queen-themed production, “We Will Rock You”. Here, Oli (Drums) and Nick (Guitar) played rhythm guitar and drum parts respectively, with Tadhg playing the lead role of the villain “Khashoggi”. Before a dress-rehearsal, Nick was warming up on guitar and played the main riff to Metallica’s “Battery”. By pure chance, Tadhg walked past at that exact moment, saying to Nick, “Is that Battery?” After the first run of the dress-rehearsal, Nick and Tadhg down next to each other and continued their drawn-out conversation about heavy metal. Oli and Nick had met previously after jamming “Rage Against The Machine” riffs at the orchestra’s practice, being fascinated they had met someone else who appreciated the same music as they did. Here, the band began. Our bassist, Aiden, joined much later on, after responding to an ad on social media, and he has been a crucial player ever since.
How long have you been playing as a band?
We have been playing as a band for just over two years now.
Before you get sick of being asked… where does the band name come from?
Our band name comes from the Latin translation for “Bloody Death”.
What are your influences?
Something great about our band that has helped develop our sound and attitude is the range of influences between ourselves.
Other than the obvious names like Metallica, our bassist, Aiden, is a fanatic of glam, worshipping bands such as “Motley Crue” or “Steel Panther,” giving him the outstanding sense of rhythm and groove he has today, as well as his ear for catchiness and great melody (and of course his killer look).
Our singer, Tadhg, is really into his metalcore and more emotionally charged metal with bands such as “Bullet for My Valentine” or “Trivium”, also however commonly crediting “Megadeth” along with other old-school bands as a huge influences for himself. This gives him his signature snarly yet melodic vocal style.
Nick, the guitarist, is really into his punk and crossover thrash, with bands such as “The Exploited”, or “Municipal Waste” helping shape his playing today. His riffs are often aggressive and vicious, combined with melody obtained from more modern influences, such as “Wage War”.
Oli, our drummer, has a crazy range of influences, that have all come together to create his style. Starting off on old-school rock and jazz like “Glenn Miller”, today you see him rocking out to bands like “Power Trip” and “Sepultura”.
Describe your music. What makes you unique?
We consider our music so unique as we blend the relentlessness and aggression of old-school thrash and hardcore punk with the hulking breakdowns of deathcore and hardcore, as well as the unapologetic emotion and melody of modern metal and metalcore.

Do you have any particular lyrical themes?
Our lyrics are often politically and socially charged, focussing on real-world issues. To name a few: The exploitation of people by those in power, the effects of colonialism, the power of brotherhood, and humankind’s innate evil.
What’s your live show like? How many shows have you played?
We’ve currently played around 10 shows- give or take. Our first show was actually a local “Battle of The Bands” styled competition, which we won. Ever since, we’ve experienced rapid growth, now gigging all around the country with metal powerhouses such as “Tortured Demon”, or formerly Pete Steele’s “Carnivore A.D.”
Expect very aggressive mosh-pits and occasionally crowd-surfers, as well as a very energetic performance full of kicks, jumps, and headbanging from the band (and always at least one casualty of stage monitors each show, courtesy of the pit). Life-long memories and a lot of sweat.
What’s the wildest thing you’ve seen or done at a live show?
We often see a banana-man speedily circling our circle-pits, and our shows are generally a haven for everything wild, but we have developed a ritual now where, on the last song of our set, our guitarist, Nick, goes into the middle of the Wall of Death, and gives the command like a race starter. Let’s just say he needs to make a speedy exit from the middle as soon as he calls “go!”.
What kit do you use / guitars do you play / etc.?
For our rig, our bassist uses his 800-Watt “Peavey Headliner 410” Bass Cabinet as well as his “Ashdown 300 evo2” bass head- a very powerful rig indeed. He also utilises an “Electro-Harmonix Pitchfork” pedal, to pitch shift up an octave under solos or lead guitar parts for a fuller and more satisfying sound. He predominantly uses a Schecter Omen Extreme-5 bass.
Our drummer uses a “Pearl Export” 5 piece drum kit, with cutting edge “Meinl Classic Custom Extreme Metal” cymbals, specifically: Two Crash Cymbals, a Mega-Bell Ride Cymbal, a China Cymbal, a splash, and hi-hats.
Our guitarist uses an “Orange Super Crush 100” 100-watt amp head, along with an 120-Watt Orange Cabinet. He uses a “TC Electronics Mimiq” to split the signal to another amp as to provide further thickness to the tone. For his guitars, live, he predominantly uses a Solar A2.7GN Cannibalismo, as well as a custom made signature Flying V.
What, if anything, are you plugging/promoting at the moment?
Currently, we are promoting our new single, “Burn the Crown”, released on the 5th July 2025. We are also promoting several new gigs around the UK, such as the “Mind Over Metal” Festival (Bridgewater) in October, with more to be announced.
What are your plans for the next 6 months or so?
We have immense plans for the coming months. It all starts with finishing writing and recording our debut album, “Merry Doomsday”, before playing several great gigs around the UK with bands such as: “Uridium” and “Carnivore A.D.” among others, along with several high-profile UK metal festivals yet to be announced. We are also currently in the midst of planning a UK Tour alongside a mystery band- we would love to spill the beans but unfortunately, it’s a secret.
If you were second on a three-band bill, which band would you love to be supporting and which band would you choose to open for you? A chance to plug someone you’ve toured with, or a mate’s band we’ve not heard of before!
We would love to be reunited on stage with our thrasher brothers at “Tortured Demon”, and we’d also love to play with, “Cultura Tres” (featuring Paulo Xisto Jr. of “Sepultura”) again, although it would be difficult to determine the order of bands! We were also impressed with Liverpool-based thrashers, “Ogun”, who we recently played with in Stockport- we would love to play with them again.
