Band of the Day – Blind Channel

In their own words, Blind Channel are a young, violent pop group. That may sound an uneasy thing to possibly hear, being a pop group. It would’ve been for me too, but Moshville recently caught these guys live at Camden Rocks Christmas all-dayer. Their explosive performance and incredible musicianship was a sight to see and a sound to hear.

A performance with their energy showed love of what they’re inventing. That afternoon they caught my attention. These guys are certainly one of the bands to look out for in 2017. So, say Hello to Joel Hokka (vocals & guitar), Niko Moilanen (vocals & programming), Joonas Porko (guitar), Olli Matela (bass) and Tommi Lalli (drums).

The five guys in Blind Channel are from Oulu in Finland.  Their debut album Revolutions is out now, and was produced by Jonas Olsson (Robin, Amorphis) and mixed by Jens Bogren who’s worked with bands like Opeth, Amorphis, Soilwork, Between The Buried And Me, Dark Tranquillity and Katatonia.

Keep your eyes open for these guys.
