Saturday Video Roundup: Black Star Riders, All Them Witches, NeroArgento, Daycare For Jedi

Dunno about you, but I’ve just had a 2-day week and I’m knackered. Time to rock out…

Black Star Riders – “Testify Or Say Goodbye”

Black Star Riders are set to release their forthcoming album Heavy Fire on the 3rd of February 2017 via Nuclear Blast Entertainment. The band have just premiered the new video for second single, “Testify Or Say Goodbye”. Frontman Ricky Warwick comments on the track:

Power, glory, rock n roll with a whole lotta soul..
You gotta testify or say goodbye
Tell me no secrets, tell me no lies
Get up on the stand look me straight in the eye
You gotta testify or say goodbye … Kinda says it all really !!!

All Them Witches – “3-5-7”

Nashville-based psych-rock quartet All Them Witches have shared a new music video for “3-5-7”, the second track to be revealed from their forthcoming album Sleeping Through The War, due via New West Records on February 24th. “3-5-7” was directed by Robby Staebler – drummer of All Them Witches and artist and photographer in his own right. Speaking of the video, he explains:

All beings suffer. One of the goals of being alive should be to understand the causes of suffering. For me this video is about perspective and the process of self-realization. Once you begin to see yourself around you and in others, realizing you are a part of everything (even things that you despise) is something you have to swallow and move toward understanding so you can properly adjust. Remember that one song about that one dude who reached for the stars too soon? One of the most important and inspiring things I’ve heard is, “In concentration I will place my mind. For those whose thoughts are slack and wandering are caught between the fangs of their own afflictions”. Or something like that. Those afflictions become everyone’s afflictions. The cycle continues. The suffering continues. Learn to focus, you can do it! I am focused. Eye in focus.

NeroArgento – “Soldiers Of Afterlife”

NeroArgento (of The Silverblack) continues his rock/electro/house crossover with another banging track from the new solo album One Against All recently released by Sliptrick Records. This ones a hardcore dance filler with scuzzy guitars eclipsed by a stomping beat and electro overtones. The video fully captures the song style with startling images, fast cuts and a beautiful black and white sheen!

Daycare For Jedi – “Next Chapter”

Daycare For Jedi are set to release a new album, This Is What You Get. Together with Chris Kreutzfeldt (Ghost Iris, CABAL), the band have created a modern pop-punk record that is based on the new wave of British and American bands such as Neck Deep, Real Friends, Seaway and The Story So Far.

The album will be released in March, and is a follow up on their successful debut EP release and Denmark tour, which included playing at Distortion Festival.
