Name: AC Rid

From: Edinburgh

Playing: Saturday, 12:40

AC Rid are a six-strong, high energy punk/pop ensemble from Edinburgh, featuring Tam Kane (bass, vocals), Steve Atkins (guitar), Forbo Forbes (drums), Lisa Aird (sax, vocals), Phil Ramsay (trumpet) and Hebe James (sax, vocals).

Having initially formed in 1997, then reformed in 2013, AC Rid have continued to gig solidly and grow their fanbase over the past few years, including support slots for OPM, CJ Wildheart, Tony Wright (Terrorvision) and Syteria (Jackie Chambers, Girlschool) and an upcoming support with [spunge]. With new material being recorded and many more gigs in the pipeline for their 20th anniversary, the self-proclaimed “Mighty AC Rid” are here to get the moshpit started!

I have seen this band numerous times and always left with a smile. You laugh, you bounce, you sing along. A fantastic brass section and a mad trumpet player who thinks nothing of jumping into the crowd running through to the bar all the time still playing his trumpet. A band not to miss on the Moshville Times stage at this years Wildfire Festival!

“Energetic ska/punk/rock with a brass section, you get a lot of sound for your money!” – Sandy McGie, Channel 7A

“If you like fast upbeat Ska meets Ramones meets Madness then this is the band for you. I urge you to go see them as you will be bouncing and leave with a smile.” – Gary Cooper, Moshville Times

“Fast as France two minute love songs that would get any beer fuelled party going” – Bluesbunny
