Video Roundup: Ligature Marks / Follow Deep / Blameshift / Voronoi / Voodoo Bloo / Neonfly

A quick roundup of some of the videos we’ve had through over the last few days that we’ve not had a chance to feature yet. Dip your toe in and find a new favourite!

Ligature Marks

Ligature Marks, a Portland, Oregon based metal band, formed in 2017, is proud to announce the release of the official music video for their new single, “Noise in The Signal”, from their upcoming album due out later in 2021. The video was first published on Metal Injection, so head there for more info!

Follow Deep

Follow Deep bring you their brand new single of 2021 and it’s heavier than their usual. The song is from the perspective of a girl that’s obsessed with a guy that doesn’t want her back so she ruins his entire life and kills him. Cheerful stuff…

The music video is the first for the band to tie in a sports theme into the story line. “Came for Blood” was filmed at NY Martial Arts Academy in Brooklyn and was directed by Tom Flynn (Lamb of God, All that Remains).

Voronoi

Experimental progressive metal jazz/classical trio Voronoi are pleased to reveal the video for their new single “Interstellar Something”, the second track to be taken from the forthcoming album The Last Three Seconds.

Voodoo Bloo

Voodoo Bloo, a powerful NZ based alt-rock act unveil a dark and energetic (part) live performance video to their latest single “Her Name Was Human” – out now via Plastic Groove Records. The track has some notable credentials having been worked on by Gregory Haver (Manic Street Preachers/ Super Furry Animals/Bullet for My Valentine) as mix production adviser.

The video shows the band playing one of their usual raucously exciting gigs for die-hard fans in a suitably sweaty New Zealand club; Rory lamenting his doomed relationship situation in his unique baritone voice. It also features our disguised ‘anti-hero’ wallowing in the toxicity of his sick and doomed relationship, seeking comfort from his ‘tribe’ by heading down to the beach, lighting fires, binge- drinking and hanging out with mates. Both the track and the video have a real punk energy vibe whilst also nodding to the greats of rock, grunge, metal and indie, without losing focus on their own youthful fire and individuality.

Neonfly

June 18th 2021 will see UK metallers Neonfly release their hotly anticipated album, titled The Future, Tonight, via Germany’s up and coming metal institution, Noble Demon.

Neonfly have just unleashed a brand new video clip for the album title track. With a guest appearance by none other than legendary Björn Strid of the mighty Soilwork, who has nothing but praise for the band:

I really enjoyed recording vocals for this song. Great players with tons of hooks and melancholic melodies. The song has some pretty unexpected turns as well and is just as epic as it rocks.
