Saturday Video Roundup: The Obsessed, Vallenfyre, Nine Miles South, Booze & Glory, FOES, Rikard Sjöblom’s Gungfly

Holy fudgesickles, is it the weekend already? Time flies round when you’re on holiday. Wrap your listening flaps round this lot…

The Obsessed – “Sacred”

Doom rock legends The Obsessed have shared the mystifying new music video for the title track of their new album Sacred. Said album, their highly-anticipated first album in over 20 years, is out now worldwide on CD/LP/DLX. 2xLP/Digital via Relapse Records.

Vallenfyre – “Kill All Your Masters”

Crusty death/doom outfit Vallenfyre will release its third album, Fear Those Who Fear Him, via Century Media Records on June 2nd, 2017.

Now, the band proudly presents the first single and video clip for this opus. Greg Mackintosh (vocals and guitar) comments:

Kill All Your Masters is about the frustration and anger we feel towards the many people and regimes in positions of power, whether it be political, religious or corporate, inflicting crimes and injustices on an often docile and enslaved population, who in many ways seem happy to be told what to do by anything from ancient books to lifestyle magazines.

Nine Miles South – “White Lines”

“White Lines” packs a huge punch, from the first crunch and swirl of guitars to the immense groove running rampant throughout, all driven forward by emotive vocals from the tall Dane, Seb Mikkelsen. This fabulous track blends twists of country, hard rock and blues and the end result is a sound unique, and easily recognisable, to Nine Miles South. A simply superb track from this talented Guildford band who are really starting to make a name for themselves and have a huge future in front of them.

Booze & Glory – “Simple”

Booze & Glory premiere the brand new video for the track “Simple” from their new album Chapter IV. The band are really pleased with how it turned out:

Here is our new video for “Simple” – a song from our latest album (Chapter IV) released on Burning Heart Records last month. It was shot over two days in North London in an abandoned warehouse. It’s the first time we have worked with director Jean Christian Larche and his crew. We feel he has really captured the essence and emotion of this very personal song. This is a side of Booze & Glory you have never known before and it’s the first of a series of videos we are planning to release to accompany Chapter IV.

FOES – “Orchestrator”

Following the release of their debut album The Summit Lies Skyward in October 2016 via Basick Records, progressive rock quartet FOES have unveiled a new video for album track “Orchestrator”.

Rikard Sjöblom’s Gungfly – “On Her Journey to the Sun”

Following last year’s disbanding of Sweden’s much-loved progressive rockers Beardfish, vocalist and driving force Rikard Sjöblom has turned his attention to his solo project Gungfly, and signed with InsideOutMusic for the release of their next album On Her Journey To The Sun on 19th May 2017. Now they are pleased to reveal the title track of the album with a brand new live video.
