The UK’s rising heavy metal force, Silk Spinster, are set to drop their self-titled debut EP on Friday 1st August, delivering a thunderous statement of intent to the world. Hailing from Kingston Upon Hull, the post-apocalyptic metallers have been building a formidable reputation since their emergence in 2021. With theatrical, high-octane performances that blend the power of classic metal titans like Judas Priest and Iron Maiden with the dark charisma of modern giants like Ghost and Slipknot, Silk Spinster are carving a unique path through the UK metal underground.
Their immersive aesthetic — inspired by Mad Max grit and Friday the 13th menace — has thrilled fans across the country, with standout appearances at Call of the Wild Festival, RAF East Yorkshire, and Bloodstock’s Metal2TheMasses, where they reached the finals. Sharing stages with the likes of Victorious, Mother Vulture, Liberty Slaves, and US heavyweights Contortion, the band continues to grow their fanbase through gritty, electrifying shows.
