Tequila Mockingbyrd sign to Off Yer Rocka Recordings – debut album out on 24th March

The booze-guzzling, hard-rocking Aussies collectively known as Tequila Mockingbyrd have been growing rapidly in these past few years getting serious interest from big names including Lzzy Hale (of Halestorm) and Classic Rock Magazine. To add to this repertoire they have signed to Off Yer Rocka Recordings, home of Massive Wagons, The Quireboys, The Amorettes, Bonafide etc. A suitable home I feel.

Vocalist and guitarist Estelle says:

We’re so happy to be working with OYR to get the album out to the world. They showed a lot of belief in the band before we even landed in the UK, so to have them backing the record is amazing. We’re very happy ‘Byrds right now, as we’ve been waiting a long time for this.

Their debut album, Fight And Flight (geddit?), will be released on the 24th of March 2017 containing 13 songs covering topics such as having a good time, shaking what you’ve got to get where you want to go, and taking chances to make things happen.  With the first single, “I Smell Rock n Roll” (video below), finding its way onto Planet Rock Radio’s playlist, and a further single, “Never Go Home” being released ahead of the album.  This exclusive release will also contain 4 live tracks, recorded at the “Flocking Off, A Farewell to Oz” show in Melbourne (another scorcher of a pun).

The band have announced a tour in their newly relocated surroundings of the UK as guests to label-mates and fellow good-timers Bonafide. If you’re a fan of a good drink or four and miscellaneous bird/booze puns then get yourself to one of the dates below.
