Peter Hook And The Light confirmed for Rebellion Festival 2018

Following his critically acclaimed appearance at Rebellion Festival 2016, Peter Hook, the man behind Joy Division and New Order has been confirmed for the festival’s 2018 incarnation for what we’re told will be a special “Best of Joy Division” set.

Already, the festival, which will run from the 2nd to the 5th of August 2018, is fulfilling its reputation as the best festival in marrying audiences with the best past and present punk and alternative bands as a whole host of acts from all around the scene and, indeed, the world begin to fill up the schedule. Already announced alongside Peter Hook include bands such as The Exploited, Cockney Rejects, Angelic Upstarts, Discharge, Ruts DC, UK Subs, Slaughter & The Dogs, D.R.I., The Adolescents, SNFU, Toxic Reasons, Raw Power and many more to come.

On the festival and his return to it, Peter says:

It’s a real pleasure to be returning to Rebellion Festival with The Light again. Rebellion’s a tremendous event bringing together a great line up of alternative and punk bands with a very enthusiastic crowd. The reactions are always great and it attracts a real mix of people to Blackpool’s Winter Gardens, a great venue in its own right. It’s always a unique occasion and one of the highlights of the year.

The all-ages event (essentially meaning under 12’s get in free) is still in the process of filling up the bill and as such, many more bands, the running-order and stage times still to be announced.

If you like what you’re seeing though, that doesn’t mean you have to wait till the last minute for tickets. In fact, you can head on over to their official page now to pick yours up.
