Alice Cooper
Alice Cooper releases new single “White Line Frankenstein” from his upcoming album Road“, coming out August 25 on earMUSIC. Produced by Bob Ezrin, the album hit worldwide top positions on Amazon within 24 hours of the announcement.
Alice Cooper’s new single “White Line Frankenstein” is built on a rocking riff that melts into a memorable chorus, “They call me ‘White Line Frankenstein’,” leading into a trademark Tom Morello guitar solo, hot enough to burn rubber.
“White Line Frankenstein” is a monster that we created. It’s a truck driver who’s been out there a long time. He’s the king of the road. He doesn’t live in a house. He lives in that truck. In the song, this surreal tough guy is driving on white lines for his whole life. So, “White Line Frankenstein” would be his CB handle. It’s monstrous and definitely a stage song.
Produced by longtime collaborator Bob Ezrin, Road is written, composed and recorded with Alice’s trusted, longtime bandmates – Ryan Roxie [guitar], Chuck Garric [bass], Tommy Henrikson [guitar], Glen Sobel [drums], and Nita Strauss [guitar]. It channels the spirit of old school Alice with instantly recognizable grit and plenty of gusto. It’s everything you’d hope for from him and more.
For Road, I wanted the band to be involved in the foundation of all the songs. I only see these guys when we’re on the road. So, I wanted them to be as tight as they are for the show but on all new material. When you have a band this good, I believe in showing it off, and this is my way of doing so.
The album is available for pre-order now.

Scar Symmetry
Scar Symmetry have revealed the video for “Xenotaph”, taken from their latest album, The Singularity (Phase II – Xenotaph). For “Xenotaph”, Scar Symmetry enlisted the help of The Ultraterrestrial Choir – a 233 voice strong ensemble consisting of fans, friends and family from all over the world; with each choir member multitracked the resulting recording consists of literally thousands of vocal tracks!
Guitarist Per Nilsson comments:
“Xenotaph” concludes Phase II in an open-ended way, leaving the listener on a bit of a cliffhanger musically as well as lyrically. We felt strongly that “Xenotaph” deserved its own music video, to bring closure to this second part of our Singularity saga and to showcase the song to the fullest, and to put the spotlight on our amazing, crowd-sourced choir – it is definitely not the last time we will call upon our fans to sing with us!
Dead Pony
Glasgows Dead Pony, one of the most exciting Scottish exports have released new single ‘MANA’.
The track, which has been previewed at Summer festivals and live on TV from TRNSMT on BBC Scotland, sees the band embracing their power with the high-concept single filled with scuzzy guitars, a hook-laden chorus and captivating vocal. Says singer Anna Shields:
The world is burning and you’ve only got 3 slugs left in your zombie survival ammo pack…. “MANA” is a vehicle of rage plowing through a post-apocalyptic ghost town. Pick up as many supplies as you can and get your ass to the doof wagon. If you can’t rage to this jam you might already be dead.
