Time for another of our occasional roundups of new video treats, to make sure you’ve not missed any of the tunes that have popped up over the last few days. Keyword: variety!
Punk Rock Factory
Rambunctious pop-punk rascals Punk Rock Factory are ready to turn your world quite literally upside down with the release of their boisterous new single “Defying Gravity” and its official video. Made world famous by the hit musical Wicked, PRF’s reimagined track joins 10 more high octane bangers on their highly anticipated new album, It’s Just A Stage We’re Going Through, set for release on 31st March and available to pre-order now.
“Defying Gravity” is a song our fans have been begging us to reimagine for a long time. After we did a short clip of it on TikTok and the fans went crazy it was clear to us that we had to add it to the album. We had great fun breaking the song down and adding our PRF spin to it, and are super happy with how it came out in the end.
We worked with Sitcom Soldiers on this video again, after how awesome ‘You’ll Be Back’ came out. We found an awesome upside down house in Thurrock to film the video in so the perspective looks amazing. When we arrived there it took everyone a good while to acclimatise to the house as it wasn’t just upside down but slanted too, which made walking around extremely difficult, let alone playing!
It’s got us performing and doing all manner of silly things while hanging off the ceiling. Try not to get sea sick!
Deathstars
Swedish industrial cult act Deathstars recently announced their return with new album Everything Destroys You, which is set to be released on May 5th via Nuclear Blast Records.
Today, the band reveals their second album single “Midnight Party”. The track is accompanied by a complimentary video – filmed in Stockholm, it depicts the band attending a packed club show, watching a Deathstars female cover band. Hint: this alternative Deathstars might feature some familiar faces…
Frontman Whiplasher Bernadotte comments on the song:
I wanted to write a kind of worst slash filthy slash dark yet catchy party song and lyrics; something that was bad in a good way – bringing moral downfall up- to – speed al dente… It’s about those times when you end up binge partying and don´t go to sleep for days, it’s just constantly midnight with the additional clear and present downward spiral and debauchery that eventually makes you go insane. The party that never stops until you collapse. Very different from David Lee Roth-poolpartyrock, to say the least.

Panicwaves
Ever since their first vital sign, Panicwaves have made it their business to shape modern music and truly be themselves.
The Hamburg-based quartet caught very important attention entering the scene in 2022 with their debut single “Catalyst”, and their first ever tour throughout Germany being a blazing success. Now, the time has come for them to hit full force and in October 2022, the band officially signed with Monster Artists Management and Easthaven Records. This marks two huge milestones in the band’s early history. Panicwaves will be dropping a lot more new exciting music and events in 2023.
Gosforth
A new sub-label of Odium Records, Underground Kvlt Records, recently signed a contract with Italian, cult band Gosforth who are back after 17 years with a new album Scourge of Dark Dominion.
A few days ago was a premiere of the first single “Luciferian Gnosis”.
I in no way find it amusing that Gosforth is a suburb of Newcastle.

So Long, Space Girl
British pop punks So Long, Space Girl have released a video for their latest single “Like A Bomb”, taken from their brand-new album Your Heroes Are All Dead which was released on February 27th, 2023!
Speaking about the song, frontman AJ Willis has said:
“Like A Bomb” is a blunt metaphor for my own mental state in my darkest moments. It’s about your negative emotions taking over and swallowing you up, forcing you to watch helplessly from behind your eyes as you blow up everything around you, leaving pain and devastation in your wake. An unstable isotope of the best version of yourself.
Scruffy Bear
If you aren’t yet aware of the mighty force that is Scruffy Bear, well let us take you to the depths of North Yorkshire, where their earth-shattering sound and ‘fuzz rock’ style spreads a message of creativity and self expression. Scruffy Bear are loud and raw whilst still embracing a depth of eclectic influences.
Having released their debut EP Face The Rain back in 2022, the band decided to take one final track from the EP and showcase it for the true masterpiece it is with an extended live version. This version of “Solace” includes additions to the arrangement including cello and flute.
