Video Roundup: Those Damn Crows / Empyre / Die So Fluid / Oceanhoarse / Merlock / Katapult

As the year kicks off in full swing already, here’s a bunch of the best visuals we’ve had this week…

Those Damn Crows

Rocket-fuelled Welsh lads Those Damn Crows blast into 2023, sharing the catchy, contemplative new single “See You Again” from their forthcoming third album Inhale/Exhale. A ten-track collection of bona fide, modern rock bangers, Inhale/Exhale is set for release worldwide on February 17th, 2023 via Earache Records. Sure to become a instant fan singalong favourite, “See You Again” is released today and available now on all streaming platforms.

“Hit and Run” is the new rock epic taken from Empyre’s upcoming album Relentless. Standing out as one of the most emotional and powerful tracks on the record, it’s accompanied by a cinematic new video (filmed in only 3 hours) which you can watch below.

Die So Fluid

The mysterious Mr Drew sent us the following, and a link to Die So Fluid’s new video…

Fellini, Herzog, Lynch… Grog! Yes the reclusive, LA based, video director/ musical genius has today finally published the video for “We are the virus”. Our leader has managed to visually convey the toughness of my riffs in a gritty urban look that equally reflects my heavy tones and my desperate inner city existence here in the leafy suburbs of North Islington. Justin’s footage is of his actual drum take and Grog does some actual practical visual effects with a real zoetrope. Spooky.

Finnish heavy metallers Oceanhoarse are gearing up for the release of the band’s sophomore full-length record, entitled Heads Will Roll, which will be coming out on February 17th via Noble Demon. In support of the new album, the band has released a video for the new single “Brick”.

Exploring gloomy realms, Merlock produce imposing soundscapes that embrace the murky depths. Seeing multiple genres converge, Merlock manifest a compelling doom, psychedelic and stoner mix in the new record. Onward Strides Colossus will be released on February 24th, 2023.

Today the band has revealed a new single, “Behold! The Sword of Lock”.

This past November, Swedish/Swiss melodeath/thrash combo Katapult released their debut album Play Stupid Games, Win Stupid Prizes through Discouraged Records. With the album, the band has made a lasting impression with its aggressive energy, impressive chops and smart songwriting, which has received praise by international press.

Today, Katapult unleashes its fourth music video from the album, this time for the song “Sweetheart Come”, and once again the video has been created by the band’s visual wizards Florian Moritz and Johan Norström. The song deals with the heartbreaking story of German psychiatric patient Emma Hauck and the letters she wrote to her lover, which were never sent.
