Muscle Vest release their new EP Hot Hot Hate on September 22nd. As a taster they’ve just dropped a snazzy new video for the song “Solitary Life” that you can check out below.
Taking influence from bands such as Pissed Jeans, Melvins, Mclusky, The Jesus Lizard and Whores, London noise-punks Muscle Vest continue to reflect the struggle of the average person against an exploitative system within a crumbling state.
Thrashed out and recorded live in a single day at Hempstead Road Studios by Steph Carter (Gallows, Lyoness), Hot Hot Hate represents the band’s efforts in capturing their furious live sound on record.
As soon as Steph’s name was floated to us, out of all the options we knew that if anyone would get what we were trying to achieve right away, it would be him.

The EP was mastered by Alan Douches at West West Side Music (Mastodon, The Dillinger Escape Plan, Converge).
Hot Hot Hate confronts contemporary ire – degenerate and callous behaviour shown towards women across all media, mid-life stagnation, and the struggle of achieving anything of note from within a collapsing society. Also, murders.
