Video Roundup: Arch Enemy / Conan / Less Than Jake / Leatherwolf / Twister / Vomit Forth

How do you pick a selection of tracks from a huge bundle of new releases? We don’t know how we do it either, but we ended up with this half dozen this time around…

Arch Enemy

On August 12th, extreme metal masters Arch Enemy will unleash their 11th studio album, Deceivers, via Century Media Records. For a preview of the record, the new single, “In The Eye Of The Storm”, can be streamed worldwide now. Directed by Mirko Witzki, the video for “In The Eye Of The Storm” is available to view below.

Arch Enemy’s founder and chief songwriter Michael Amott comments:

“In The Eye Of The Storm” is a song that was built around a hypnotizing riff and a groove that’s just screaming out to be played live! Shooting the video in Berlin, Germany with, for us, new director Mirko Witzki was a super cool experience, and the result is nothing less than astonishing!

Conan

Following their much acclaimed 2018 full-length, Existential Void Guardian, and their Live at Freak Valley record released just last year, England’s doom metal masters Conan strike back again! The trio’s fifth studio album, entitled Evidence of Immortality, drops August 19, 2022 via Napalm Records.

Following their previously released first album single “Levitation Hoax”, the band has unleashed a brand new, colossal track and music video. “Righteous Alliance” emphasizes that Conan are the masters of their craft, while Jon Davis spits his lyrics over the uber-synchronized power chord changes and tempo shifts of the unholy trio of bass, drums and guitar.

Less Than Jake

Less Than Jake have released their new single “Fat Mike’s on Drugs (Again)”, about none other than NoFX’s very own Fat Mike. Accompanied by a hilarious animated music video, created by Punchline bassist Chris Fafalios, the track receives Mike’s full blessing and support, making the joke all the more fun.

Leatherwolf

Orange County CA metal band Leatherwolf have released a lyric video for the song “Hit the Dirt” off their forthcoming new studio album, Kill The Hunted, due out this autumn.

Twister

Twister just released their brand new single “Own Worst Enemy”, the track debuted at #2 in the iTunes Charts and they have just followed it with an accompanying video.

The single, produced by Grammy nominated producer Ramesh Dodangoda, takes the band’s songwriting to yet another level, delivering an anthemic slice of modern rock.

Vomit Forth

Connecticut-based Northeast death metal powerhouse Vomit Forth have just released their new music video for their title track “Seething Malevolence” today via Century Media Records. Purchase and stream the track now. The album came out on July 8th.

Vocalist Kane Gelaznik tells us:

“Seething Malevolence” is a declaration of war against a world we hate for hating us. We‘ve never fit in anywhere and we made music for people who felt the same way. We‘re too hardcore for death metal and too death metal for hardcore so we decided to make the hardest death metal song in hardcore and the hardest hardcore song in death metal. We aren’t afraid to be who we are and we won’t ever stop. For anyone who is pissed off and feels alone. This is for you.
