Following on from last month’s “Blessed is the Mess” and December’s “Shut”, Slave Steel have just launched a video for “Dream of Decadence”. This is the title track from their upcoming EP and I’m sure we’ll have more information about that soon!
“Dream of Decadence” is a quest for time, a fascinating nightmare of a child who desperately wants to grow up. She dreams of a surreal dialog between Devil and God. The former questions and accuses the latter of creating and manipulating mankind for an inevitable, tormented destiny. Once awake, she realises a whole lifetime has passed, leaving nothing but her own dreams.
As you can expect, it’s chock full of staccato riffage and melodic undertones. Press “play” below and prepare your ears!
