Video Roundup: Rapscallion / Culture Of Digital Elegance / Circus 66 / Valfreya / Spoiler / 2 Shadows

Is it the weekend yet? No? Dammit. OK, let’s see if we can pass the time with some new videos…

Rapscallion

This one just dropped into our mailbox today having been released last week. Imagine AC/DC, but… refined. I swear it’s the first time I’ve heard the phrase “bloody well” used in a rock track, and the video raised a smile. You can download it on Bandcamp, and await more refined silliness when they release their album Maximum Splendid.

Culture Of Digital Elegance

Culture Of Digital Elegance (C.O.D.E), is a rock quartet from Athens GR, consists of Vicky Fysikas (vocals), Giannis Katsaros (guitars, second vocals, lyrics), Miltos Schimatariotis (Synth, Programming) & Elias Goulas (drums). They started their musical journey in 2008 with an electro-pop-rock sound & they have released one LP album and two EP’s. Their new album is expected to be released in 2021.

Their new song is titled “Words” and carries an Uptempo Rock mood, which is much different form their experimental and darker previews releases.

Circus 66

Brit groove rockers and recent Moshville Times Headline Act Circus 66 have set loose their superb new single and video, “Jekyll Or Hyde”. The track is lifted from their forthcoming debut album, Follow The Black Crow, out later this year.

Valfreya

Back in 2017, Montreal, Quebec’s Valfreya released the critically acclaimed Promised Land, sending a rush of vicious folk metal around the world. Now, there is a new music video from the band, for the song “Warlords” off the 2017 release. The video channels all the energy that Valfreya brings to the stage, impactful growling, soaring clean vocals, imaginative solos, and of course, plenty of catchy verses to sing along to.

Spoiler

Spoiler describe themselves as “metalcore upstarts” and with new single “Brighter” you’ll see why. It’s the follow-up to their debut single “Repress” which was released only a couple of months back, in October 2020.

2 Shadows

Canada based hard rock / metal band 2 Shadows has released a new single, “Screamworks”, Produced by singer/songwriter/The Veer Union Frontman, Crispin Earl, accompanied by an epic new official video, via Rock Shop Records.

“Screamworks” is a song about people who make you want to scream. People who would rather manipulate you to serve their own end even when you have a common goal in mind. The song is an expression of the frustration found in dealing with someone who has their head shoved so far up their own….you know. In a lot of ways its hugely cathartic for us and allows us to finally talk about past experiences bottled up for far too long.
