Finnish hypermodern metal band External have released their new EP Stillness. Each song was released individually once a month starting from September and now ending with “Motion In Stillness”, which is also accompanied by a music video.
Belushi Speed Ball
Kentucky thrashers Belushi Speedball have just released their animated lyric video for the song “We’re Not Thrashers, We’re Hipster Posers” off their upcoming double EP Stella 1 and Stella 2. Inspired by a mean comment the band received on Youtube, the tongue-in-cheek song lampoons the gatekeeping culture that’s all too common in metal social media discourse.
The band says, “The chorus is all about how we aren’t metal. Then, we end the song with us singing the chorus in a pop punk style, complete with generic ‘whoas.'”

Illumishade
Illumishade is the new project from Eluveitie singer Fabienne Erni and guitarist Jonas Wolf. The project launched on January 1st of this year and released 3 singles followed by the entire concept album Eclyptic: Wake of Shadows this spring! The project comes alongside a whole new fantasy world that allows everyone to connect and escape not only musically, but story wise as well.
The new single “The Endless Vow” not only comes alongside an official music video, but is also accompanied by a special orchestral opening track called “Overture : Edge of Dusk”. The orchestral intro was recorded with the full force of the amazing Budapest Art Orchestra and overseen by Mirjam Skal as the conductor and of course composer of this overture.
