Video Premiere: Kozen – To The Wind

Canadian group Kozen is set to release their music video for the single To The Wind, available to stream, and download March 15, 2019. And we’ve got it a day early!

Taken from their upcoming full-length album A Fearful Wonder, the track provides a simple but powerful commentary on the modern world through the medium of language. The main character creates walls within the story from statements, beliefs, and ideas as a method to isolate those inside, while keeping others out. Maxwell Aka comments:

It’s a song about the willingness to knock down one’s own misconceptions and assumptions in pursuit of the truth, and enjoying the process of learning. It’s about the fear of living a lie, and the wide-eyed wonder of a genuinely open mind.

Featuring the aforementioned Maxwell Aka (vocals / guitar), Jericho Leal (guitar), Sidone Harrison (vocals, keyboards), Jeremy John (bass), and Jared Leal (drums), the band formed in 2015 as an outlet by expanding the boundaries of genre by combining elements of rock, metal, jazz, funk, and R&B music. Building upon the success of their 2016 double EP Swimming To The Stars the group continues to approach their writing from an inclusive and personal angle, adding a certain haunting beauty to heavy progressive music.

“To The Wind” is taken from the upcoming full-length album A Fearful Wonder, available worldwide June 7, 2019
