Going live on YouTube at 4pm today (so… now if you’re reading this when it posts!) is Dominicide’s new video for “Pent Up Rage”. They’re a former Band of the Day, though have had a lineup change since we featured them some time ago. The noisemakers are now:
- Thomas Paine – vocals
- Craig Law – guitars
- Craig Milligan – bass guitar
- Oskar Mazurek – drums
Dominicide (originally Purgatori) was formed August 2015 in Glasgow by three original members: Lucas Burry (vox/guitar), Scott Macleod (drums), and Craig Law (lead guitar). The band had a view of creating a devastating amalgamation of thrash and metalcore. This view has been actualised as the then-five piece band progressed and went on to most famously: support Ukrainian progressive metal giants, Jinjer; star in the Metal 2 The Masses Semi-final, Glasgow 2017; and headline King Tut’s Wah-Wah Hut in September 2018.
Dominicide’s original thrash/metalcore style has evolved throughout the years to include elements of groove and death metal which is most apparent in the release of the band’s debut EP Power Corrupts The Sane in 2016 and the follow-up, self-titled EP Dominicide released in 2017. The three track Power Corrupts The Sane EP was re-written and re-recorded and features in the self-titled EP Dominicide alongside three other tracks (“Once The Serpents Rise”, “Pent Up Rage”, and “War Machine”).
