Get those dancing shoes on and warmed up, folks – it’s Friday!
The Black Bullets – “Doll”
Brit Rock ‘n’ Roll crew, The Black Bullets continue their attack on the UK with the release of their brand new single, Dolls, out Friday 12th January.
The Black Bullets have been described as five bastard children from hell, locked together to produce the filthiest Rock ‘n’ Roll to penetrate human ears. In a world consumed with glossed-up half-baked celebrities and pretenders, The Black Bullets are the real deal; they live, breathe, and consume Rock ‘n’ Roll.
Landmvrks – “Fantasy”
Marseille, France-based metalcore newcomers Landmvrks have inked a record deal with Arising Empire. Check out the band’s re-released current single and video for “Fantasy”. The band comments:
Signing with Arising Empire is a great pleasure for us and finally gives us the opportunity to provide our fans with the next Landmvrks album they deserve! Stay tuned!
Happy Accidents – “Text Me When You’re Home”
London indie-punk trio Happy Accidents are pleased to present the video for their latest track “Text Me When You’re Home”, which is out now via all good digital retailers.
A plaintive and honest track about cat-calling and street harassment sung from the female perspective by drummer Phoebe Cross, she says of the new single:
The song’s about the inherent threat of walking home alone at night that often comes with being a woman. There’s a constant fear of the unknown because of the fact that unwarranted interactions such as being shouted at, or worse, are all too common. I shouldn’t have to take my safety for granted, and we have a long way to go to overcome this ingrained societal misogyny.
Susperia – “I Entered”
Norwegian blackened thrash/heavy metallers Susperia, comprising former members of Dimmu Borgir, Satyricon and Old Man’s Child, release the first single from their recently announced new studio album, The Lyricist. Titled “I Entered”, the single is available in a form of a lyric video designed by Costin Chioreanu (At The Gates, Paradise Lost, Arch Enemy).
The Lyricist will arrive nearly nine years to the day its predecessor (Attitude, 2009) came out. Its release has been scheduled for the 16th of March, 2018, on Agonia Records. The album is available for pre-ordering now.
Firewind – “We Defy”
Greek melodic power metal masters Firewind, who are continuing to promote their latest album Immortals on a European tour together with Rage, have launched a new video clip for the track “We Defy”. Guitarist and bandleader Gus G. checked in with the following comment from the road:
Hello friends and Happy New Year! We’ve kicked off 2018 in a great way, touring all over Europe with the legendary Rage. The first few shows of the tour have been insane!
In December, we captured some of this magic on camera when we played our hometown Thessaloniki in Greece. The video for the song ‘We Defy’ gives you an idea of the excitement and energy at a FIREWIND show. We hope you enjoy it and hope to see you at a show!
White Wizzard – “Infernal Overdrive”
Today marks the release of the new album Infernal Overdrive by White Wizzard. The band is pleased to premiere the lyric video to the album’s heavy metal title track.
Fans have long anticipated the return full-length from traditional metal heroes White Wizzard, who revamped their lineup last year to include the return of their strongest players to date, vocalist Wyatt “Screaming Demon” Anderson and guitarist James J. LaRue. Reviews have been overly positive and critics are recognizing the band firing on all cylinders by not only bringing back all of their expected true metal ingredients but flavoring this hour-plus ride with an expanded repertoire of moods and influences citing comparisons to Rush, Led Zeppelin and Metallica on certain tracks, all highlighted by the group’s seasoned musicianship and proper album production, courtesy of Ralph Patlan (Megadeth, UFO).
