Video Roundup: Resolve, Cane Hill, Nevicate, Laurence Jones, Orphaned Land, Gentle Savage

Welcome to Monday. Sorry.

Resolve – “Navel-Gazing”

French metal outfit Resolve have released the video for their latest single “Navel-Gazing”, taken from their debut EP Rêverie.

For fans of Architects and While She Sleeps, “Navel-Gazing” is the band’s angriest track yet, packed with heavy riffs that weave between softer verses, contrasting between dark and light and creating an impressively mature sound for a band on their debut release.

Cane Hill – “Lord of Flies”

Cane Hill have announced that they will release their second full-length, Too Far Gone, on January 19th through Rise Records. To celebrate the news, the band has also shared the video for the brand new single, “Lord of Flies”.

The band will be touring the UK early next year supporting Motionless In White.

Nevicate – “Shattered”

Nevicate is a fresh metal band from Joensuu, Finland whose music is a mixture of symphonic tones, pop vibes and electronic elements. The band recently released their debut single “Shattered” and its music video can be seen here.

Laurence Jones – “Give Me Your Time”

Laurence Jones, often labelled as “the future of the blues” has announced the release of his album The Truth on Friday 9th March 2018. To coincide with the exciting news, the 25-year old has released the official music video for his single “Give Me Your Time”.

Orphaned Land feat. Hansi Kürsch – “Like Orpheus”

Oriental metal pioneers, Orphaned Land, have just released a video and digital single for their new song “Like Orpheus”, taken from their upcoming album Unsung Prophets & Dead Messiahs, which will be released on 26 January 2018 via Century Media Records.

“Like Orpheus” features guest vocals by no other than Blind Guardian’s Hansi Kürsch! Kürsch comments:

What a marvelous song. I heard it and fell in love with it immediately. What keeps me so thrilled about it is this perfect blend of different musical cultures and the constant wave of emotions these guys have woven together in a stroke of genius. This song, as all their works, is a strong statement for humanity. I am really proud to be a part of such a fantastic family. All is One!

Gentle Savage – “Far Side”

Finnish rock band Gentle Savage has released a new music video for the track “Far Side” from their latest EP. Gentle Savage’s singer Tornado Bearstone comments on the new video:

I started to think about this dark issue, namely the future of our planet. The goal was to make a video that shows what we are on the verge of losing and why we are going to lose it. We can still save the planet Earth and this is our small contribution to the message that warns of total destruction. No planet Earth, no place to Rock n’ roll!
