Video Roundup: Smothered Bowels, Wednesday 13, The Dollyrots, Hollywood Undead, Mallen, Helloween

Here we go with a weekend roundup of some of the top videos we’ve received over the last few days…

Smothered Bowels – “U.S. Butcher”

Smothered Bowels are most definitely not for everyone, but if beneath that smiling facade you wear every day lurks the soul of a cackling, caged lunatic…then they might just be for you.

The release of the musical obscenity that is Dead C*nt Dance (10th November) is preceded by a stunning music video for one of the album’s finest tracks – “U.S. Butcher”. Years in the making, you will never have seen anything like this before. A mini-feature film in its own right, this is the kind of visual horror show that every death metal or goregrind band dreams of making, but simply don’t have the ambition or audacity to attempt.

Wednesday 13 – “Cadaverous”

The Duke of Spook, Wednesday 13 has revealed a brand new video for “Cadaverous”, a track taken from his current Condolences album. The clip plays up Wednesday’s schlocky horror reputation in his best B-movie style as he and his band get ready for a handful of UK Halloween shows later this month.

The Dollyrots – “Babbling Idiot”

The Dollyrots bring you the newest official music video for one of their favourite tracks off the new album, “Babbling Idiot”! Filmed right down the street from their apartment in LA by super talented friend Joe Rubinstein, the concept was: “GO CRAZY IN FRONT OF THE CAMERA”!

Catch the Dollyrots performing online via Stageit tomorrow (9pm in the UK), covering the songs of Nirvana. It’s “pay what you want” for tickets.

Hollywood Undead – “We Own The Night”

Mallen – “The Otherside”

West Midlands rockers Mallen are back with their new video The Otherside from their upcoming second studio EP This Dream which will be released on October 16th! if you want to know more, then check out our review.

Helloween – “Pumpkins United”

Earlier this year German power metal legends Helloween announced that they would be reuniting with former members Kai Hansen (guitar) and Michael Kiske (vocals) for a World Tour under the banner of “Pumpkins United”. It would mean bringing together the classic line-up of the band that recorded the seminal Keeper Of The Seven Keys Parts 1 & 2 albums (1987/88).

The news doesn’t stop there. The band, whilst busy in their rehearsal room have also written and recorded an exclusive song together. The aptly titled track “Pumpkins United” blends everything that has made this band world-famous and a true trailblazer of an own sub genre: power guitar riffs, three-part guitar solos, double bass thunderstorms, and melodic choruses soaring above all else. The track is also performed by all three singers of the band’s history – a dream hardly anyone thought would come true and as a thank you to all fans for a quarter of a century of Helloween mania and decades of loyalty, “Pumpkins United” is now available via helloween.org as a free download!
