Video Roundup: Savage Messiah, MagnaCult, Houston, Katalina Kicks, Akercocke, Rig Time!

It’s the weekend. Time to kick back or kick arse, depending on how you enjoy your free time…

Savage Messiah – “Wing and a Prayer”

British heavy metal act, Savage Messiah, have just released a video for their brand new single “Wing And A Prayer”, which is taken off their upcoming album Hands Of Fate. Frontman David Silver comments:

This is a powerful snapshot of our upcoming album, loud and anthemic! With my favourite guitar solo yet. We’ve had this song in our set for the past few shows and have been really taken aback at how ‘instant’ the song has been, and how well fans have reacted to it, so we’re really excited to share this video for all of you.

MagnaCult – “Trash”

With their third album, Infinitum, which was released in May this year, MagnaCult have nailed their music style, shifting up a gear to an epic release packed with massive guitar solos and full of groove.

After two runs earlier this summer, with DevilDriver in June and with Whitechapel in August, to support the release of their album, MagnaCult takes to the road again in October and November. To capture their live energy, the band has compiled a video for the track “Trash”, where they have used footage of the shows done so far this year in a number of countries throughout Europe.

Houston – “Dangerous Love”

Swedish AOR band, Houston, have released a brand new lyric video and single for the song “Dangerous Love”, the track is taken from their forthcoming fifth album titled III, due out on November 24th.

Houston has been around since their self-titled debut album in 2010 and landed the number one in Classic Rock Magazine’s AOR chart that year, up against outfits such as Unruly Child, Crashdiet, H.E.A.T. and Nelson. The band then went on to play the festival circuit with appearances at Sweden Rock, Download Festival UK, Rock of Ages Germany as well as touring the UK with Swedish sleaze rockers CrashDiet.

Katalina Kicks – “We Don’t Care”

London-based rockers Katalina Kicks have just dropped a video for their new single, “We Don’t Care”.

Akercocke – “One Chapter Ends for Another to Begin”

Akercocke are proud to present their first promo video from the new album Renaissance in ExtremisThe video was directed by Khaled Lowe. The treatment produced by Khaled and his team mirrors the story of the protagonist in the song. The dark surrealism sees the central character at the ultimate point of personal despair. Despite his plans to end it all, he realises that it is not his time. That there is still hope. It’s a skilful, visually told story about coming back from an emotional and psychological brink. Khaled and his team used their creative vision and technical expertise to tell the story perfectly. Utilising 4K Steadicam, time-lapse and drone cameras, the final result is a haunting, visual feast.
