Gutslit – “Brodequin”

Trivium – “Thrown into the Fire”

Trivium have shared an official music video for “Thrown Into The Fire,” which is featured on their new album The Sin and the Sentence (you can read James and Mosh’s thoughts here). Recorded with producer Josh Wilbur (Lamb of God, Gojira) at Santa Ana, California’s Hybrid Studios, The Sin and the Sentence finds Trivium – Matt Heafy (lead vocals, lead guitar), Corey Beaulieu (guitar, vocals), Paolo Gregoletto (bass) and Alex Bent (drums) – returning with their first new music since their celebrated 2015 LP, Silence in the Snow. The new LP also features the band’s first recordings with new drummer Bent who joined the band last year.

The Body & Full of Hell – “Farewell, Man”

The collaborative force of The Body & Full of Hell is in powerful form on their new album, Ascending a Mountain of Heavy Light, out on the 17th November via Thrill Jockey. Today, the video for their song “Farewell, Man”, has been revealed, directed by Cody Stauder.  About the video, Full of Hell’s Dylan Walker remarks:

When we were writing “Farewell, Man”, we wanted to encapsulate the free base form of what makes the body what they are and what makes Full of Hell what we are. The structuring is simple and blown out and there’s an extreme variance in tempo. The video was filmed in the Appalachian woods of Pennsylvania. The focus and subject of the video is an immersion baptism, which becomes a drowning. We placed a lot of focus on colour and light in each shot and I think it visually represents some of what’s going on throughout this record.

Meliorist – “My Reflection”

Brisbane metal outfit Meliorist are today announcing the release of their new EP, ii. and along with it, dropping their first single and video from it AND announcing their launch show for it. ii will be released into the world on Friday December 1 via iTunes, Spotify and Bandcamp and goes on pre-sale this Friday October 27.

Guitarist for the band, Andrew Apte, is enthusiastic about the release:

We are really excited to release this EP because it really is a self produced product. We have spent countless hours getting this release together. My Reflection is the first single and captures a high energy side of the band. We just hope people like it as much as we do!

Throne of Heresy – “Liber Secretorum”

Swedish death metal band Throne of Heresy have teamed up with Decibel Magazine to stream their new video for “Liber Secretorum”. The track is taken from the band’s forthcoming concept album Decameron.
