It’s Sunday but we’ve still got a shed-load of videos to serve to you.
The Picturebooks – “Zero F***s Given”
Primal blues-rock duo The Picturebooks have revealed a new video for the song “Zero F***s Given”, taken from their Home Is A Heartache album. A special edition picture disc LP version of the album is out today to coincide with their “Home Is A Heartache” tour 2017, which will see the two-piece perform 17 shows in the UK and Ireland next month.
Chrysalis – “Atlas”
Californian alt-metallers Chrysalis are streaming their new music video for ‘Atlas’, taken from their charting album Reminder (out now). “Atlas” is the genre-bending band at their finest. Shades of Incubus, Deftones, and even Linkin Park, mark Chrysalis’s new single as a group at the top of the game, following previous single “Out of My Hands” which landed on Billboard’s Top 40 Mainstream Rock chart and led to a tour spot with Nonpoint, Nine Shrines and Hinder.
Ward XVI – “Toybox”
This weekend, the twisted jailbirds of Ward XVI have released the lyric video for “Toybox” – a deadly concoction from their highly-acclaimed album (including ourselves) The Art of Manipulation.
Skarlett Riot – “Break”
“Break” is the first single from acclaimed UK act Skarlett Riot. Taken from their upcoming second album Regenerate, “Break” is a bold, heavy and hard-hitting statement from a band that has grown in stature and confidence hugely since their inception.
Weirds – “Old World Blues”
Weirds make a grand entrance with their fuzzy and kaleidoscopic video for “Old World Blues” today. Taken from their standout debut album Swarmculture (which we also enjoyed), which was released earlier this year on Alcopop! Records, the Leeds band stand taller, louder and heavier than before with their breed of sludgy and psychedelic rock.
Syd Kult – “Already Down”
A few months after the official release of its debut full-length album, French deep-rock trio Syd Kult just unleashed a new official music video for the song “Already Down”. Formed in 2013 around the Parisian area, Syd Kult is an indie-rock/progressive project – lead by Cyril as founder, architect and main composer – which describes its work as “deep rock”. Somewhere beyond influences from various major bands and artists such as Alice In Chains, The Doors, Marilyn Manson, King Crimson, Blue Öyster Cult, Portishead or Radiohead, Syd Kult quickly found its own musical path with its debut recording, a self-titled EP (2013) released a few months only after its birth.
