Video Roundup: Sons, Scout Killers, Serenity Broken, The Observants, Abhorrent Decimation, Soul Enema

We’ve got a lot on with focus on the upcoming Bloodstock Festival, so no wordy introduction. Just… enjoy!

Sons – “Zealot”

A little sample from hard-hitting two-piece Sons. The Brighton duo have unveiled the video for their new single “Zealot”, dropping on 25th August via DIY label Till Deaf Do Us Party (already released on Spotify). Alex Baker named them ‘Band Of The Week’ on his Kerrang! show so they’re obviously tickling the right buttons.

Scout Killers – “Keep Telling Me Lies”

  • Scout Killers released Deception about two weeks ago and they’ve followed it with this video for one of the tracks. If you like what you hear, then you can catch them live on a few dates in August with Go Primitive and Seasons:
  • 22nd – Moles, Bath (14+) Doors: 6:30pm
  • 23rd – Maze, Nottingham (16+) Doors 7pm
  • 24th – Santiago Bar, Leeds (18+) Doors 7pm
  • 25th – Surya, London (14+ under 18s accompanied by adult) Doors 7pm

Serenity Broken – “Faint Slit”

Greek alternative metallers Serenity Broken got in touch to say that they have just released a brand new video from their second full length album, Redefine. Check out “Faint Slit” below.

The Observants – “Symphony Of The Third Type”

Sci-fi themed death metal band The Observants have released via bandcamp for free their debut EP, which includes three new tracks and a cover of “The Game” by Motorhead. The band have also released a video for “Symphony Of The Third Type”, based on films and documentaries about science fiction.

Abhorrent Decimation – “Granted Indulgence”

UK-based extreme death metal group Abhorrent Decimation have released their savage new single “Granted Indulgence”, ahead of the release of their sophomore album The Pardoner on July 28 via Prosthetic Records. Don’t forget that they’re one of the bands you can catch on the SOPHIE stage at this year’s Bloodstock Festival. We talked to them about it recently.

Soul Enema – “Spymania”

Heroes and villains are fighting the world in a mystic conspiracy thriller, coming from the factory of an Israeli progressive band Soul Enema. “Spymania” is a part of new album Of Clans and Clones and Clowns, released on June 23rd. A colorful and diverse 73-minute work features guest appearances from Arjen Lucassen (Ayreon) and Yossi Sassi (ex-Orphaned Land) and mixed by Jens Bogren (Opeth, Devin Townsend).
