Watch Rage’s first studio trailer for “Seasons Of The Black”

Having clawed their way to what is to be their 23rd studio release, German power metal pioneers Rage have proven once again that age will not weary them. Even after releasing their previous album The Devil Strikes Again little under a year ago they’ve kicked back into action, indubitably as one of the hardest working bands of their time.

With the tracking having taken place at Germany’s Megafon Studios and Belgium’s Soundchaser Studios throughout February and March, Dan Swanö (Marduk, Opeth, Katatonia) took care of the mix and mastering at Germany’s Unisound Studios whilst the production side of the album was handled entirely by Rage themselves.

A trailer from the upcoming release titled Seasons Of The Black can be seen below, teasing first single “Blackened Karma”.

Of the album, band spokesman Peavy tells us:

Our fans are getting Rage metal of the very first grade. We’ve been able to bring the band’s typical trademarks into eleven new songs, and we’re sticking to the course that we forged on the last album! This means hard and very catchy compositions that also sound thrash, aggressive and epic.

As is mentioned in the trailer, this will be the second album with the new lineup. With this in mind, we can hope this will again breathe new life into the band as was apparent on 2016’s The Devil Strikes Again.

Seasons Of The Black is out on July 28th via Nuclear Blast.
